Launched originally under the umbrella website of www.duwa-prod.com with one "Finer Life" database product in July of 1999, the site has grown to include products in eight different product categories covering such diverse products as the highly rated original Finer Life Cigar Database to The Finer Life Cheese Guide.
Most of the data for Finer-Life.com products is licensed from partners who are experts in their respective fields. This allows The Finer Life Website to produce the best reference guides and fun database products available today for the PalmPilot at very reasonable cost. Because of the need to protect partner's data, The Finer Life Database ReaderTM was developed using a dynamic encryption technology that is unique for the PalmPilot. This ability to keep data protected while using the PalmPilot's open standard operating system is now being applied to help individuals and small businesses use the PalmPilot for storage of sensitive information.

 DuWa Productions was founded in 1990 by Don Walker and Erin Dugan and is a privately held company located in Los Gatos, California, just outside of San Jose. The company has changed a great deal since it was formed but has always been focused upon doing products and custom projects using the latest advances in desktop publishing. Having done a variety of custom projects for the PalmPilot, DuWa Productions focused exclusively on the exploding PalmPilot market in January, 1999, with the capitalization of The Finer Life Website. In Early 2000 The Finer Life Website moved to its own domain as www.finer-life.com. Today, DuWa Productions is a successful virtual company with an international roster of developers and partners developing PalmPilot products along the Finer Life theme for customers worldwide.
